When you’re at an event and you notice that someone is clearly not having a good time, what’s your reaction? If you’re anything like I used to be, you would take yourself out of the fun and try and shift that person’s energy, solve their problems, and ultimately, bring your own mood down. When you start to take full ownership over your own feelings and reactions, that is one of the most powerful places that you can be in. This is a lifetime practice, but I’m sharing some tips on how I’ve been able to implement this in my life and the major changes that I’ve seen as a result of shifting out of my people-pleasing tendencies.
