Episode 98: Find Your Fit Method with Zlata Sushchik

Zlata Sushchik is a lifestyle coach, sports nutritionist and founder an online fitness coaching company called Sexyfit.

She grew up in Moscow, Russia and moved to the US when she was 16. Throughout her career as a fitness competitor she was awarded top 5 placements at 26 shows including top 3 national titles. Her work has been featured in Muscular Development, Flex Magazine, Rx fitness and countless other publications.

Sexyfit method has helped women lose over 6,500 pounds by providing virtual nutrition, fitness and accountability coaching to help you live a healthier, happier and sexier lifestyle.

Zlata is known for her no nonsense, no BS approach to health and fitness. At Sexyfit, she is focused on creating a foundation for sustainable lifestyle to help you get in shape and most importantly create the habits to keep your sexy fit body.

She resides in San Diego, enjoys long walks on the beach, caramel cupcakes and kale smoothies. She collects Nike shoes and is a member of four local gyms #FitGirlLife

A tid-bit of background on Zlata (in case you missed her first episode) at 16 years old, she moved to the USA from Moscow, Russia. Fascinated with the American foods and sweets (along with natural puberty and just plain ol’ growing up,) Zlata tells us that her “body type” wasn’t always what it is now.

“I’ll never forget being kicked out of dance class as a little kid, being told verbatim ‘Your gut is disgusting.’”

As if that weren’t traumatizing enough, she recalls herself having low self-esteem through middle school, her high shool breakup and even college.

Not allowing herself to get stuck in the “body shame” rut for long, she came out on the other end, stronger and more confident than ever!

Competing in over 28 fitness shows and with continuous self-development work, Zlata is the epitome of SexyFit!

Episode 97: How To KEEP YOUR NEW HABIT

“It’s falling in love with the day to day, one thing at a time. It’s falling in love with the journey.”

Being able to “fail out loud” is just as important, if not more, than being able to celebrate out loud! It’s recognizing that you are human and you will come across human set-backs, along the way, but continuing to push though and not allowing that to deter your goal.

Having someone who is on the same page as you or even an entire tribe on the same page as you, (my Body + Soul tribe) is vital! They will be your backbone and your extra push on the days when you’d rather sit in PJ’s and watch Netflix, but know you should be hitting the gym and meal planning!

“Unless you are in supported ground and soil, you will not be able to grow where you are.”

Which brings me to today’s big topic…HABIT. It’s now the second week into 2017 and the buzz/enthusiasm for new goals is starting to die dow, but that doesn’t mean yours should!

Despite what you have heard, thanks to the audible book I have been listening to “The Answer,” it takes about 66 days (on average) to change or form a habit. It’s only January 12th, moral of the story…DON’T.STOP.NOW.
